Science

Science:  Definition - the state of knowing, a system of knowledge…
Webster’s Dictionary

Knowledge + Experience = Wisdom

Wizard University is not merely a learning center that imparts facts, figures and knowledge to its students. Our goal is to incorporate successful methods and techniques that will leave students with advanced knowledge AND experience, making them not only smarter and more knowledgeable, but wiser and stronger in their ability to achieve.

“When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”

A Solid Foundation of Success

All of the elements for self-mastery have been in place since the beginning of time.
Long-revered philosophers and sages taught the principles for living and achievement in every ancient culture. These teachings have been passed down from generation to generation through many diverse avenues and methods. (See Video)

Modern science has researched and proven many of these principles in recent times, with the study of quantum physics, brain research, behavioral studies, and research into the human psyche.
Wizard University understands that self-limiting thoughts and beliefs can limit behaviors and outcomes, and that in order to create new outcomes, we must transcend those limiting belief systems.

Wizard University’s teaching methodology incorporates various elements of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Multi-Sensory Learning (sight, sound, smell, touch, taste), Behavior Modification, Experiential Training Techniques and even self-hypnosis training. We combine these scientific methods with constant interactivity, role-playing and practical application, with humor and entertaining challenges.

Simply explained, all of Wizard’s courses, seminars and team building events are not only substantive, but also entertaining and fun. These are the key elements to the retention and understanding of any training material.

The Power of Belief

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”
- Proverbs 23:7
Scientific research has continually given more and more credence to the power of belief in relation to personal outcomes. Medical doctors consistently state that a positive attitude is the primary condition that improves survival rates in life-threatening illnesses. The Placebo Effect dictates that more than 30% of medical treatments work – even when they’re just sugar pills. And in order to be approved for use, pharmaceuticals must be at least more effective than the control group placebos. These specifics offer a unique insight to just how powerful a person’s beliefs truly are.

Quantum Physics has also revealed the awesome power of how human thought effects the particles of matter. Many of today’s great thinkers believe that how we  think will effect our outcomes. Some ascribe to the notion that thoughts and emotions affect waves in the energy of particles, and that like attracts like (The Law of Attraction.) Others feel that our thoughts and emotions directly affect our behaviors and actions, and that this is how outcomes are affected.

Regardless of which causal theory may be correct, the results of the research remain the same. Success and achievement in finance, career, love, health and life can be substantially changed and improved by changing perceptions, beliefs and expectations in the individual.

Science & Philosophy Combined

You are what you think you are. You get what you expect. You have what you think you have. Your experiences are the sum total of your thoughts. You are creating your future in every waking moment. Whatever you focus upon – brings you more of the same.

You think over 50,000 thoughts each day. Whether they are good, bad, or indifferent thoughts, they are responsible for creating all of the elements and experiences in your life. The reason that you may not be aware of your creative nature is that 98% of your thoughts are the same from day to day. We get stuck with our preconceived notions about life, relationships, money, self-image, health and life’s outcomes – and therefore we see no change unless some major event happens that changes our perception.

How Beliefs are Formed

During the entire course of our lives, we have thousands of good and bad experiences. These experiences are a series of sensory recordings that are stored in the subconscious brain. We record experiences with our senses – sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell.
The higher the intensity of emotion during any experience denotes a more ingrained sensory recording. And the frequency of these highly emotional events determines our worldview or personal truth.

When you were a baby you may have had many blissful experiences when your mother rubbed your legs, kissed your forehead and told you that she loved you. Her smell, her voice, the look in her eyes, all made a sensory record in your subconscious. When you smell her perfume or hear her voice as an adult – these sensory recordings are recalled, and have a major effect upon your emotional state, feelings and beliefs about your mother and possibly women in general.

An entire lifetime of sensory recordings and experiences have formed how you now feel about sales people, dogs, authority, learning, money, marriage, politicians, luxury items, foreigners and every other subject matter that you encounter. Certain smells may put you into a bad mood and remind you of an unpleasant past experience. Certain music can immediately change your mood as it triggers a pleasant memory. Tastes, textures and images can also trigger your emotions and thoughts about any given subject. These same multi-sensory mechanisms are involved in every aspect of your belief systems. Many are positive, many are negative, and many more are neutral or not important to you – it’s all in accordance with the frequency and emotion encountered around the subject during your lifetime.

“Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality."
- Earl Nightingale

FIBS - Falsely Imprinted Belief Systems

The cliché that “perception is reality” is a very true one. Perceptions are gained through sensory recordings. We perceive things through our senses. Our senses collect the information, and then integrate to create our perception of an event. Everyone perceives each event differently, and then stores the recording into the subconscious for future reference. This is how we construct our worldview, and this is the reason that we are all uniquely different.

Falsely Imprinted Belief Systems or FIBS are sensory recordings that were imprinted and stored during a highly emotional event in your past. The difference between true reality and a falsely imprinted belief is that the sensory recording is a skewed or negative belief implanted upon your psyche. If an authority figure told you that you were “no good, fat, stupid, worthless, or lazy” during an emotionally charged event, this information was stored into your subconscious and became a part of your worldview.

Motivation & Performance

Wizard University’s motivation and performance training starts with a basic understanding that the student must gain an understanding of his underlying negative beliefs or FIBS in order to remove the obstacles and limitations in his potential for success and achievement. A person’s under-performance and disengagement in work and career can be substantially improved when we identify self-limiting beliefs as well as negative beliefs about authority figures, the organizational management, coworkers and his true potential for advancement.
